How to Synchronize and Save your Sticky Notes in Windows 10 ?

Sticky Notes has been a handy feature in Windows for years, granting you the ability to create and place virtual notes on the screen to remind you of things you need to do.

Now, with the Windows 10 October 2018 Update, Sticky Notes gains some much-needed power, letting you save a history of your notes and sync them online to access from other computers. That means you can create notes on your Dell XPS 13, for instance, and then access them again on your Microsoft Surface Book 2 without missing a beat. Here's how to get started.

• Open Sticky 

First, you can open Sticky Notes one of several ways. Click on the Start button, scroll down the All Apps list and click on the entry for Sticky Notes. You can also simply type "Sticky Notes" in the Cortana search field and click on the result for Sticky Notes.

• Alternative Ways to Open Sticky 

Windows 10 allows you a few different ways to activate the Sticky Notes feature. If you prefer, you can call on Cortana for help by saying, "Hey Cortana. Launch Sticky Notes." You can also go through the Windows Ink Workspace by right-clicking on the Windows taskbar and selecting the option to "Show Windows Ink Workspace button." A stylus icon then appears in the system tray. Click on that icon and select the first option for Sticky Notes from the Windows Ink Workspace pane.

• Sign in and Sync Sticky 

The first time you launch Sticky Notes, a Welcome screen pops up inviting you to sign in with your Windows Account so you can sync your notes on other devices. Click on the button for your account name/email address to sign in.  must visit norton setup to get information.

• Create and Store Sticky 

Type your first note in the note window; you can create additional notes by clicking the plus sign. When done, you can then close the note. But it's not deleted; it's stored in your Sticky Notes history.

• Re-Open Sticky 

Even if you close out the Sticky Notes app entirely, your notes will remain saved in the program. You can double-click a closed note to open it back up again, and even revise it if necessary.

• Delete Sticky 

To delete a note, click on the ellipsis icon and select Delete note, or hover your mouse over the note in the history list and click on the trash can icon.

• Confirm Deletion

You're asked to confirm if you want to delete the note. Click on Delete to remove it or click on Keep to save it from the axe. To disable the confirmation question, check the box for Don't ask me again.

• Navigate Sticky 

You can also open, close, or delete a note with the context menu. Right-click on a note and then select the option to open, close, or delete it.

• Color Code Sticky 

You can paint your notes with different colors. For any note you want to repaint, click on the ellipsis icon and choose a different color.

• Formatting Sticky 

You can also play with the formatting of the text in the note. Select the entire note or just the text you want to reformat. The note window offers icons for bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, and bullet points.

• Cut & Paste in Sticky 

Sticky Notes supports cut, copy, and paste. Select and right-click on the text in a note and choose Cut or Copy. Right-click any empty area in a note and choose Paste.

• Search Through Sticky 

If your notes start to pile up, you can search for specific ones. In the history window, type your keyword in the search field to display the relevant results.

• Access Cloud Storage

Finally, you can sync your notes via the cloud. At the history window, click on the Settings icon. Click on the button to Sign in and then sign in with your Microsoft Account, if you didn’t already do so when you first launched Sticky Notes.

• Sync Sticky 

Move to another computer with the Windows 10 October 2018 Update installed. Open Sticky Notes, and you should see the notes you created on the first computer.
